2001 New South Wales Diplomacy Championships Results

The 2001 New South Wales Diplomacy Championships were held at the Coogee-Randwick Returned Servicemen's Club, Carr Street, Coogee, Sydney from June 9th - 11th. 3 rounds were played over 3 days with games scored using the Cricket scoring system. All three rounds counted for a player's ranking in the tournament. The tournament director was Craig Sedgwick.

Winner of the board games competition was Jason Whitby

Because I haven't really seen it in print since the tournament finished I wanted to say what a deserving 18 Geoff got on the last day. He had stopped what looked like a very likely 18 from Harry as France on 17, and from a significantly smaller base he built up and took out the smaller players and even took a centre or two (I think) off Harry to get the 18!!! Well done Geoff!!!!!
