2001 New Zealand Diplomacy Championships Results
The 2001 New Zealand Diplomacy Championships were held at The Newmarket
Returned Services Club, 3 Melrose Street, Newmarket, Auckland, New Zealand.
from October 20th - 22nd. Four rounds were played over three days, with
games scored using the Cricket scoring system. All four rounds counted
for a player's ranking in the tournament. The tournament director was
Quentin Ball.

Bowl Winner : Rob Schone, 13th after 2 rounds came back to 4th with
two 12SC games.

Best Game Round 2 : Dominick Stephens 15 as Austria
Best Game Round 3 : Will Black 14SC as Austria
Best Game Round 4 : Grant Torrie 16SC as Turkey
A total of 17 players participated
Congratulations to the Grant for winning his first tournament and
what a win.
Thanks to Quentin for GMing and Russell for painting the gnomes.
Next year we are at the same venue and it is hoped a bigger turnout
will be achieved with the World Champion attending!
