2000 Waikato Diplomacy Open Results

The 2000 Waikato Diplomacy Open was held at the Livestock Improvment Corporation's Social Club Clubrooms, 26 & 27 February, 2000. The tournament was the first DAANZ affiliated tournament to be run as a continuous tournament. Players were entered into a queue upon signing up for the tournament. Once seven players were in the queue a game started at the next deadline, and so on until there were less than seven players in the queue. Once players were eliminated from their games, or once games finished, those players entered the queue, and new games started once there were seven players available. There were no defined "rounds" in this tournament.

The scoring system was a modified version of Detour98f, with the number used as the base to which the standardised scores sum to increasing by 5 points per year after 1905 to take into account the time factor given that the tournament was a continuous one.
